Runaways

I never thought that escape was possible.

Not until I met you.

Even with a collective half of a car and only the change in our pockets to serve as a fund, you gave me wings and a south to fly to.

I never thought that life without escape was possible.

Not until I met you.

But even with only what I’d had before, you gave me life, oxygen, a family and home. You made me smile, and that’s not easy.

Four days, maybe less, and here we are.

You’ve made so much in my mind, you’ve built cathedrals. And I feel so much less alone.

You brought my Icarus back from the dead, You made me feel and think. And I think I love you.

Thank You.
