United States

There are demons inside me that lurk and prowl.

Holding their chains and shackles like trophies, with a wicked smile.

I can not look or acknowledge their existence, which would in turn validate them.

Even though they live in my head, borough within my heart, and invade my soul.

They are everywhere.

They take utter control from the inside out.

Hijacking me, as if I am something to be taken control of.

As if I need their wretched help.
