Rose-Colored Glasses

I saw the world through disoriented shades,

followed along with everyones schemes.

The world felt like a playgroud,

saw the moon and sun unite in my dreams.

Once I removed my rose-colored glasses,

my monochrome universe was filled with helpless screams.

I was so young and vulnerable,

the light in my eyes disappeared.

I grew as person,

from the things I feared.

I'm treated differently now,

payed the price for a mind that's cleared.

That rose-colored world I knew,

living without it felt so weird.
