The Room Was Vacant
White wall meet
White wall meet
White wall meet
White wall.
Follow the cracks into crevices and caves
See the sound reverberate through the room
The marble rolls and rolls and rolls
There is nothing to stop it.
There is no heartbeat
As if time stopped
and no intake or outtake of gentle breath
The floorboards can’t creak
And the door won’t squeak
It stays shut forever and all time
The rusty hinges rust even more
Dirt gathers in every square inch.
Yellow wall meet
Yellow wall meet
Yellow wall meet
Yellow wall.
