Can I be a rock

So nothing can touch me?

A nice boulder wil do

Anything that can hide me

From the pain caused everyday

Of just being me

I won't break I'll only bruise

I will be able to hide

From all the pain and hurt.

Make me a rock

Let ocean waves crash over me

Let wind slide over my surface

Let them carry away my pain

Wash away my years.

Let me be a rock

So hard and mighty.
