Ripples

The ripples of a pond

My mind is stirred

As if the milky water was a thought

Blurry but clear all at once

The deep depths may be shallow

But they contain the world

As a reflection is disturbed

By the drops of water

The world is stirred as if a song

A song that is broken by an echo

When one looks inside the pond

They see themselves as a mirror

Giving the gift of seeing the unseen

It helps you look at- in a new way-

What your life is whispering at you

What the world wants you to see-

But if you don’t look close enough

It may look like mere ripples

To you
