Righteous Indignation
You barge in here
Drunk Bastard.
You barge in here with nostrils flared
And fists held high,
As heavy blows paint my trembling brow in crimson and tears of sorrow.
You barge in here to place the blame
On those who’s conscience is white as snow.
You barge in here,
though food you have not brought,
And little groaning bellies lie restless on rocky beds.
You barge in here
With hellish rage and tempest,
Yet you do not realize
That you bear the chains of blame and guilt alone
‘Till trumpets sound and saints are called on home.
