Respect

At school,

They say be respectful to others

Some oblige, some don’t

It’s hard to be nice to others

Who aren’t

You smile and say you’re okay

When you’re not

You pretend and laugh with others

But instead they laugh at you

Outside,  you say you're fine

But inside you're breaking down,

Crumbling to dust

But there are people

Who respect you

For being yourself

Don't let others change you

Be you
