Repeating History

Let's talk about my generation,

the subject of so much manipulation, speculation.

They say are heads our are full of air.

They say we're made of plastic.

They say after every inch we talk a mile.

We’re young and living without a care.

We think the world is so fantastic.

Growing heals and makes us smile.

Let's all go to a party.

Define ourselves with lyrics and a melody.

Forget about the world, that's fine.

Let's for a moment lose ourselves,

Let's all just dance in a line.

Left, right, left and right,

back, forth, back and forth,

Turn to side, try to find the light.

We'll fix ourselves eventually.

We're just repeating history.

Don't lose faith because we're not well spoken.

We're misguided but we're not broken.

We drink too much, all night we will party.

What else do you know when you're raised by a TV?

Don't lose faith because were so young.

We still think that wild is free.

We're still learning.

That's what fills the world with beauty.

We growing up but we're still not ready.

Left, right, left and right,

back, forth, back and forth.

Turn to the side, try to find the light.

We'll fix ourselves eventually.

We're just repeating history.

We're still dancing blindly in every street.

We've only changed the lyrics and the beat.

We shook the world then hit repeat.

We'll be chasing dreams for a while.

That melody gives me a smile.

Left, right, left and right,

back, forth, back and forth.

Turn to the side, try to find the light.

We'll fix ourselves eventually.

We're just repeating history.
