Remembrance

Your not here anymore

Makes me wonder if you did leave

A troubled soul that didn't know

What he had when he left

We are learning a topic

About something you endured

When you were dying from your body

Parents blamed and hurt you

I thought of your scars

The feel and sight of the fight

Smoothness and warmth of your skin

The safety you gave with a simple hug

I remember the feelings

The happiness and love between us

The way you looked at me

With love and admiration

I remember what we had

Before you left
