Release

After holding on for so many years,

Wanting to let go of all the fears.

Longing to feel love and desire,

Longing to go someplace higher.

You came with a vengence,

Made me strengthen my alliegence,

To love life to the fullest.

Every wave of pain,

Every wave of energy,

Brought me closer to release.

Screaming and scared,

Wanting to hold on,

But, not knowing what would happen if I did.

I fear the new,

I need to hide.

My body won't let me,

It won't let me push it aside.

I cry out, "I release you!"

The waves of pain continue.

I cry out, "I release you now!"

As another wave of energy overwhelms me.

On and on, the cycle continues,

On and on, throughout the night.

Negative energy out,

Positive energy in.

As the dawn breaks, I feel a sense of calm.

My body is at peace.

Happiness overwhelms my soul,

My body finishes its release.
