RED

Red.

All I see is red.

Everything, everywhere.

Everything is Red.

Nothing moves.

Nothing speaks.

The earth is still.

Everything is Red.

Red bites at my eyes,

taking over the colors of the world.

Vibrant, blood red, filling the earth.

Everything is Red.

I blink once. Twice.

Harder. Slower.

Everything slows.

Everything is Red.

Memories flash across my mind,

so fast I can hardly recognize them.

Love. Lost.

Everything is Red..

Flowers wilt, fruits rot.

Every breath becomes a laboring task.

I cry for help, and no one hears me.

Everything is Red.

Red.

All I see is red.

Everything, everywhere.

Everything is red.

Everything is dead.
