We study slaves, we study graves but tell me who am I
Am I captive, am I dead or more than just a fly
My impact I question
My reason I ponder
I wonder who I am
Don’t tell me who you think I should be for I don’t give a damn

you really have an interesting poem right there. It's true that some people feel like slave in an endless education system, and sometimes we question ourselves. But in the time spent wondering, we lost track of real life. This is just my interpretation to your poem, I might be right or wrong, yet something is for sure, I'm also a study slave. However, the jokes on them because I'm a lazy slave =P

First of all thank you for reading, and second, that is an interesting take. I had actually never thought of it that way! I wrote it to be more of a questioning self-actualization sort of piece. Like, we know about all of these "important" people that we are forced to study in school, but what is our own importance? Can we be molded into what society calls an important influence or build our own sense of self?

Do we really know about the "important" people? When we are at school, we are force to know about the people that changed the world in away or another. Yet, people know more about Hollywood people, music and market brands than history itself. About questioning ourselves as if we really are important, you might no be important to a stranger, but you are important to those who love you, and besides numbers make the difference. We might not be able to mold the society, but little by little we can change something.

interesting idea

we are not slaves though we continue to enslave ourselves

its about true identity and acknowledging that we are all 1
