That night

She rolled into bed

Tucked herself in

Opened her eyes

and dreamt of him making love to her

and holding her

and caressing her

and smiling into her frown

And as the light announced the morning

She untangled her legs from the sheets

Tumbled from the wire springs

Closed her eyes

And prepared for a new day.
