Reality 4

Hebrews 13:5

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Reality

The future is so certain

for you know not what is  next.

Some happiness, some hurting

for the few to pass the test.

What test you ask uncertain

and who will give that test?

Is it in preparation for the final curtain

or to help those who know Him best?

You wonder is there a here-after

and who can prove that thought?

For years men had their laughter

and believed not unless they saw.

So many left and went under

or is that where they went?

Maybe there is an up-yonder

as it shows from Heaven sent?

Doubts and fears are creeping

as the years are passing by.

At funerals they are weeping

for the ones who left and died.

They listen to a sermon

and the words that they hear.

Will these words give them purpose?

Do they even understand fear?

They whisper about the departed.

Was n't he a good "old" joe?

He was so good and warm-hearted

If there is a Heaven … that's where he'll go.

They will reason and smilingly comment

hoping to find peace in their heart.

Even a false peace feels fine for this moment

as in fake understanding they part.

They'll return to their homes still the same.

Searching for truth that passed them by.

They ignored long ago the call of their name,

when the Spirit moved tenderly "nigh".
