Reality

Romans 12:1 New King James Version (NKJV)

Living Sacrifices to God

12 I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

Reality

Am I sidetracked by self? A dreamer who was long forgotten

Am I where I need to be or where wants and wishes drive me?

Got to be home by twelve in my frame so ill-begotten

In my search for being free as it seems to despise me

Freedom is only found in pure love for others

Our own interpretation keeps it attached to ball and chain

Am I Heaven bound although I don’t seem to bother

About other’s salvation and for the hope and helpless in pain

“Oh, death where is your sting?” I can’t even feel it

Am I so far beyond that I ignore its very presence?

Where should I begin and where can I appeal it?

When will I confront my duty and its essence?
