Realising Good is Gone

Wed, 09/30/2015 - 12:04 -- Qydasia

Good is Gone when the neighborhood dies,

The friends you walked to school with have moved on with their lives.

You wonder, why is the neighborhood so empty?

Was the fun just temporary?

Good is Gone when the playground is empty,

No kids along the side walk,

No freeze tag,

No hopscotch,

No kickball,

No frisby.

Good is Gone when you walk to school alone,

No grandparents to hold your hand,

No adults pinching your cheeks,

No one greeting you at the door asking,

"Are we gonna have a good week?"

Good is Gone when you finally enter high school,

No more parent signing you in and out of school.

Good is Gone for GOOD.
