Ready for Display

Most people are not who they claim to be.

The way they speak, the way they act,
the way they dress, the way they pretend.
The way they pretend.

Do they really do it to impress?
Maybe, it is to gain some sort of social status
or credibility.

Or, is it to hide who they truly are?
We are told to be ourselves but it seems
that no one can truly achieve such a
seemingly easy task.

Good are the ones who exist to pretend and
pretend To exist.

This poem is about:
Our world
