Rapunzel

Once upon a time,

Princesses were weak.

Princes were saviors,

And mice could speak.

Dancing and singing were all that they knew,

But one princess grew a little bit blue.

She had been trapped in a tower for many years,

Sick of waiting for her prince, after shedding thousands of tears.

Once she had had long luxurious hair,

But a witch had set it a flame with a flare.

With the floor boards, she pulled from the ground,

She made a ladder in which she had wound.

With all of her strength, she let it out the window!

She watched as it fell on an unexpecting hero...

The man fell back and hit his head,

Clearly, he had fallen dead.

She climbed down the ladder,

Free from her tower.

The man no longer a matter.

Who clearly had fallen with a splatter.

Rapunzel didn't care,

She was free from her snare.

The prince had been too late,

This death was certainly his fate!

So she skipped out of the secret cave,

After giving the man a triumphant wave.

Who needed a savior, when you could be your own?
