The Rainbows and Their Storm

Do you like Rainbows? Or do you prefer the Storm before?

Maybe it’s the bright colors that annoy you.

Or maybe just the fact that they were born.

You just don’t like them; all the things they’ve been through.

What about them and the Stonewall riots?

Forget that? Forget them?

No. What about those we’ve lost?

Their storm is violent. What does this violence cost?

More than 300 murders just for loving each other, that’s all.

Stop it! The hate crimes and brawls.

All over the world, Rainbows being slain for their pride parades.

“It’s a Sin” they say.

Taking verses from the bible that no ones ever heard of!

72 countries say it’s illegal.

The storm is rough and the hate is powerful like heavy winds.

Strangled, shot, stabbed, set on fire, suffocated, even beheaded

Those of the Storm are truly demented!

So I ask again,

Do you like Rainbows? Or do you prefer the Storm before?

Their colors aren’t bright, They’re faded

Don’t be persuaded.

Our Rainbows aren’t our enemies

It’s their Storm.
