The Quiet Ones

Location

I’m not a singer

I call myself a writer

I’m not sure if I’m anything

I can call myself anything

Sadly I am what society calls me

I am a kid, an irresponsible teen

I am the generation to ruin the world

Yeah, right

Who cares what they think

I’m whatever I choose to be

I can be anything

I said that when I was young

Five-year-olds were right

Optimism is great

I won’t let anybody get me down

I’ll follow my dreams

Life’s too short to lose

Life’s too short to be crushed by society

Life’s too short to not have the one life I want

Teens are the future

Teens need a leader

Listen to the quiet ones

The ones afraid to speak up

They have ideas, they have plans

They’re just busy doing them

Too busy to stop and brag

Follow the silent ones

Because they’re going far

Who cares what society thinks

You’re whatever you choose to be

You can be anything

You said that when you were young

Five-year-olds were right

Optimism is great

Don’t let anybody get you down

Follow your dreams

Life’s too short to lose

Life’s too short to be crushed by society

Life’s too short to not have the one life you want

You are whatever you want to be

Nobody can stop you

You have your life ahead of you

That’s your life

Not your parents’ life

Not your teachers’ life

It’s your life

Don’t waste it

Make the most of it

Grow up to be yourself

Imagine yourself in a dream

Make it your goal to live that dream

Who cares what society thinks

You’re whatever you choose to be

You can be anything

You said that when you were young

Five-year-olds were right

Optimism is great

Don’t let anybody get you down

Follow your dreams

Life’s too short to lose

Life’s too short to be crushed by society

Life’s too short to not have the one life you want
