A quick prayer for a quicker life

All my words were used up,to catch a glimpse of your majesty
I gave you attributes of things, what a travesty!
Whereas only in my place was to name you denominator
For in all perfection you are the dominator
On another page of thought, since all of you is derived
How can one who craves your works,of reason be deprived
To admire the fine things, that through you are happening
Shall be of my zeal and faith not be lessening
As the wisest of all men, blessed by you, uttered
Live as if forever, but pray as if tomorrow
your testament in sorrow will be muttered

All my words were used up,to catch a glimpse of your majesty
I gave you attributes of things, what a travesty!
Whereas only in my place was to name you denominator
For in all perfection you are the dominator
On another page of thought, since all of you is derived
How can one who craves your works,of reason be deprived
To admire the fine things, that through you are happening
Shall be of my zeal and faith not be lessening
As the wisest of all men, blessed by you, uttered
Live as if forever, but pray as if tomorrow
your testament in sorrow will be muttered
