Questions

From tears to anger,

From fear to panic,

These are the emotions that will lead us to something we will regret,

Yet, we give in,

We give in to the blind rage,

The rage that gives us comfort,

Sugar coating our evil deeds to believe that it’s okay,

Why?

Are the tears from the truth that we choose not to hear?

Is the anger due to our lack of voice?

Do we fear the inevitable?

Why are we really panicking?

These are questions we should be understanding,

But we hide the thought of questioning,

Having another voice sing sweet nothings to enchain us from being free,

Free from what?

A question that we choose not to ask,

Afraid of knowing the real answer,

Instead, we act like slaves,

Mental slaves who accepts the deception and plants seeds of false hatred,

Stopping us from prospering,

Stopping us from comprehending the certainty,

Who is really benefiting?

We are quick to jump into conclusions,

But we do not stop to think,

We are quick to accuse the wrong soul,

But we act like we are high-minded,

Who’s to say we reflected on our actions

This displeasure is what they want,

We are to blind to see that,

Who’s our real enemy?
