Public Service Announcement

This is a public service announcement,
Drop everything you're doing to look in the mirror,
Make sure the reflection is quite clear,
This will only take a minute,
And everything you fear's wrapped up in it,
All those demons and reasons,
The echo of the preachin' is demeanin',
What you live is blasphemy,
A sociological atrophy,
Its like artillery,
Bombarding me,
All these rules and regulations tear apart at me,
And it all just runs together now,
Looking in the mirror its up to me somehow,
to sort through the bigotry,
The idolatry,
And god forbid that they start mocking me,
Its like the tower of babel,
Everywhere I go someone is shaking a bible,
Its a bunch of useless rabble,
They prattle,
Like the useless scenes from the television,
Feeding us hidden motivations of discrimination,
Yet they still expect me to be complacent,
And half of my people are at war with each other,
While the other half beat and abhor one another,
Its another pg-13 movie,
About a kid who's come to terms with the brutality,
Of living his life in this world quietly,
Because society,
Has got him down and out,
He feels like he's being crammed into the grout,
These seams, seem like an impossible dream,
And at the end of the movie he wakes up and he screams,
As he wakes up in a hospital,
Mentally unstable,
Yet unable--,
To get up and change what he's seen,
Oh what irony,
This was a public broadcast test,
We will return to your normally scheduled program,
Thank you for your time.
