A Proclamation

I know the day will come

With one word

we all stand up

Shouting and pointing at all

That will make them hear

How much better it turned out than before

And this is the best reason we can all find to take up to feet

This is the best we can do with what we have

We have this one day

A day that no matter what we say it will be heard

And it will be this that comes to our mouths

Not the last time my mother looked me in the eye

Not the recent smiles from my father

Rejoices are not worthy of the worlds kingdoms and cars

Not that I had a wonderful day or anything in particular

No kisses, warm embrace, sweets, or complements

The world wants so little of these why try anymore with the niceties

Pleasent words, rosey cheeks, baby laughs

No one wants to hear about how I had a beutiful life

So when all others have gone up to speak for me

Then I will tell my story cause the world will have to listen

On that day
