Prisoner of Self

When I look into your eyes
I can see A version of you you keep locked away deep inside
Trapped in a tattered cage
amidst a storm of darkness spewing a violent rage
with no control it sways
begging to be released to live another day,
but not one like this, no not this way.
I see desire with a burning fire to enjoy life in every perfect way
Cause games like this noone wants to play
I see that same map of the world but still lost in some way
Questioning Purpose, is this a test or just another game
Cause ya feel so lost as you lose yourself to shame
Is this my fault am I to blame
while fighting to gain control as u try to find a way
but if your reach within yourself you'll find a key
it will not only unlock the cage but the gate to prison of shame that seems so far away
