The Princess Poetry Part 4

Do you want to know a secret,

About the princess we all praise

Aren’t you curious as to why,

She always hides her arms and legs

Our princess isn’t perfect as she seems

She hurts herself to fill a void

When no one else is looking

She digs her nails into her palm

Four bloody gouges

On each delicate hand

Hidden behind her beautiful gloves

And on her slender arms

Are cuts made from a blade

Self-inflicted pain

Hidden behind silken sleeves

But remember you didn’t hear from me

This is a secret of the monarchy
