Pride Tears Of Happiness

Once your parents had planted
a nutritious seed of hope
the seed germinated
and took a shape of a bud
bud took the shape of a flower
and seed became flower because
your parents watered it
provided fertilizers and pesticides
and took proper care
that flower spread out fragrance
in the dream world of your parents
they were shedding tears of happiness
that flower was you
cared for and loved by
your loving and kindhearted parents
now when you are a father
of your children
eyes of your parents shed tears
not because
you ignore them
you disrespect them
you don’t honor your commitments
because
you care for them
you love them
you respect their sentiments
and give them what
they couldn’t give you
these were the tears of happiness
how lucky your old aged parents are
to have such a caring
and loving son
