Preponderance of Evidence

1 Peter 4:17 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

1 Samuel 15:22-23 22 So Samuel said:“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He also has rejected you from being king.”

Preponderance of ...

By the preponderance of evidence ... I will change the world.

Develop some intelligence ... that will surely work.

In repeating all my ignorance ... belief will surely surge

through living my incompetence and following my urge.

I must like myself a lot ... everyone should be like me.

In my own world, I am my “god” ... I fake to be free.

I can’t make rain or grow a lot ... but I pretend to be

The sun’s enlightening glare  ... for I am blind indeed.

Moving in slow pace ... I travel all alone

with many like me ... dried up to the bone.

Head bowed in outer space ... searching for my clone

long forgotten, out of place ... as dissatisfaction groans

End of time just appears ... like a newborn child

Lost in a world of fear ... to put it just and clearly

All things seem vaguely clear ... although it’s wild.

Afraid to be sincere ... for truth has split me dearly.

Only the lack of one breath it takes ... to move me to the next

Out of the little world I faked ... into a scene slyly perplexed.

Where the rule of thumb is … a snake in guile is forever vexed

To rule the lost in heart … into a condition of complete unrest.
