The Power of One

Many people underestimate "one";
They say it isn't enough—
For a damage to be done,
To make someone satisfy in life.

Singular word it may be,
But don't you ever underestimate.
"One" has a great power and capacity,
To change someone's fate.

One hater can make someone hurt,
One failure can make someone doubt,
One scar can make someone feel ugly,
One heartache can make someone avoid everybody.

One misfortune can ruin someone's day,
One mistake can result to a delay,
One pain can make someone terrified,
One misunderstanding can make someone hell mad.

But one friend can keep someone positive,
One achievement can make someone believe,
One fan can make someone to continue,
One's love can make someone be inspired to go through.

One luck can make someone optimistic,
One right answer can make someone energetic,
One smile can brighten someone's day,
One laugh can drive negativity away.

One's positivity can radiate to everyone,
One helping hand can build a home,
One light can guide you in the dark,
One hope can keep you holding on.

See how "one" works in our lives!
Through it we can already be judged,
At the same time be appreciated,
Be ignored and be accepted.

It's just a matter of balance,
A matter of choice to make.
Which one would you give a chance,
In your life to dominate?

Some things are not in our control,
We may have one or lost it all.
Just remember the power of one—
That can build or destroy over thousands.
