THE POWER OF NATURE
The place we call home
Is the same place we harm everyday
So much pollution in the air that it affects our ozone
All we can do is pray
The tectonic plates are moving
The ground is breaking up each day
The amount of money it will take to rebuild and repair once nature destroys are expensive
The tallies of casualties are unbearable
The earth is like a troubled child- very unstable
One disaster ripples a chain of catastrophic events all leading to destruction
The sea levels rising
The force of the sea so powerful, lathering everything in its path
The animosity of winds at high speeds
Rooting trees and toys with cars at will
Twists and turns like someone with a fork playing with spaghetti
Quite an upheaval of events,
Yet there is no way to stop it
We can only brace ourselves with the powers of nature
Calculating each magnitude
Calculating the atmospheric pressure
Doing countless of calculations after calculations
And of course predictions are made eventually on its severity
We try to live ‘green’ in a world where pollution is our new oxygen
Is that what the world has come to?
Young scientists looking for alternatives
Some making breakthroughs in limiting carbon emissions
All for what?
The world revolves around money and fixed resources
Alternative ways to generate electricity just falls on deaf ears
Countries just continue to pollute and fight over oil
Our efforts in living a more conservative life are in vain
We always worry about what would happen to all the factories if they were to shut down
How many people will be left without a job?
That is our number one priority usually
We never sit and think about our home, Earth
It has been taking care of us from the dawn of time
If we do not take care of it,
Then who will?
LIVE WELL AND DIE OLD
