Poverty

Poverty, underprivileged, deprived, and depressed.
The struggle of no warm water and your stomach tends to rumble

Like the sound of an earthquake.
The unbearable horror of not knowing if the lights will turn on at night
opening up the fridge not a lick of food in sight.

Poverty, frustration, irritation, and disposition.
Feeling inferior to people that have money.
One income, surviving off of refund checks, living off a check each month.

People spend their money like it's going to run away.

To be honest people with no money are fustraytious.

Poverty gives a sense of being defeated.

People hear the the struggle in songs and wish they could be me.

“Growing up in poverty everybody felt sorry for me”
They wanna be me but don’t understand the pain.

The most exciting day is when the first of

the month comes and the food stamp card is reloaded with the month’s balance.

Poverty, embarrassment, anger
Hustling for money you’ll make friends with a stranger.
Never thought about school.

Only thought about having a pair of shoes that had a Nike check.
This is just a sad and sorrow story about the life of poverty

the life that makes people think robbery is scholarly.
