A Poet's Anthem

If i think of something in my head and like the way it's flowin'
I take the pen and paper out to keep the lyrics going
and ...
No I don;t write just to simply waste ink
I illustrate my passion just to make people think

I am...
not like others who just write lies to lines
I poetically speak truth that's fresh off my mind
A prayer , a journal, or maybe just my mood
it doesn't matter it will all end up on my college rule

I like to read but I don't get inspiration from Langston Hughes
I'm Ayanna - not trying to be the next Maya Angelou

I just have a passion to imagine
my action with a pattern
& these words just feel complete like when Even completed Adam

Nobody has to feel me when I'm feeling myself
& as long as I have a brain I have a story to tell
& this poetry thing doesn't have to bring any wealth
but the pen when stay in my hand until my very last breath.

Now that's . . That's, my poetic anthem.

I love this! Thanks so much for sharing!
