Nothing more than words on a page.
Or are they?
Words that express so much no one else can fathom.
A diary for the world to hear.
A voice, a guide
to let you know you aren't alone.
When the pain seems endless, or my fears too frightening,
I have my God and poetry.
Filling words on a page, words that I didn't know were locked inside,
Words that are desperately fighting to be heard.
And those times when there is no one to listen,
I can always pick up a pen and a page.
And write all of my problems away.
That is what poetry is to me.
