Poetry has taught me that

Poetry has taught me that words are evrything.

That they don't have to rhyme or make sense.

That what you say to the paper is between you, the pencil, the pen and the paper.

Poetry has taught me that when life is tough and you don't know,

where to turn too that it will always be around.

That yelling and throwing fists isn't the only way around a problem.

That it changes you and others and it calms the cries of a little baby.

Poetry has taught me power in not only words but the impact it has when written,

beautifully together.
