A Poem for My Tuition

I'm writing this poem for my tuition.

Unfortunately, I'm not poor enough for the government to understand my position.

They choose to neglect the weight the middle class carries in the system.

I can't contribute twenty-one thousand dollars.

With taxes and living necessities my budget is significantly smaller.

They have me on this short leash with a tight collar.

I'm unable to enjoy the hard earned money made,

'cause the fat cats demand more and more to be paid

all in order for the poor who need to be saved.

The poor get to ride and the rich get to thrive

while the middle class funds the withering supply.

So that's why I wrote this poem,

because after bettering myself I don't want to owe 'em.

Therefore, this is my middle class totem.
