Please Stay

Shiver down your spine,

Voices on a cold breeze that blows over the hills.

You said you'd stay for them, for me

Please make me a promise, make us a promise.

They talk about the view from halfway down

And I've seen it, though not everyone knows that.

Think about the future.

I know, I know. That's exactly what you're afraid of.

But imagine the things you'd never learn

The people you'd never meet, who never got to meet you

Everyone who would miss you, the little ones that need you so badly

The love you'd never feel, that single person who would never get to love you

And someone does love you, and wants to love you

That's why I stayed

Maybe I'm not enough reason for you to stay

But let these things be enough

Me
My family
