A Plea From Across The Sea

A Plea From Across The Sea

Across the deep blue sea

I hear the pleas of those in need

I reach out and lend a helping hand

Only to see the smiles..

Oh so grand

Many empty stomachs that we don't hear

Go hungry most of the year

Infants emit a cry so weak,

So young, so meek

We all live under the same skies

And need to pay attention to others cries

Lend a hand to those in need

This should be everyone's creed

If we all stand side by side

Everyone could have a sense of pride

Give them a token that is small

To them it's the greatest gesture of all

But don't forget help can come from you

As we all know you are human too

Take a stand and be a bright light

And we as people can soar like a kite

So help make the world a better place

By putting a smile on someone's face

I feel this poem is really powerful and can inspire so many people to take a stand and help others out.

There is always going to be someone in this world who has it worse, but if we all take a stand and lend

a helping hand we togeather as a world can make a better place.
