The Playground Bully

Cherry stems

fought hybrid limbs

twisting into phosphorous toungues

and rubber rocks,

stepping into hand-me-down

big shoes,

cranny room for sweaty socks

and playground kingdoms.

Bleeding gums rotted

underneath sweet teeth,

cheecks reddened

secreting the claims

of a royal leader.

Denim string,

wove around loose nails and rusted fun,

the peasants,

caged underneath

a plastic throne,

wondering when

they'll be freed to go home.
