A Place We Call Our Own

What a pleasure it has been
and time and time again
I was for you
to bring me to

A place we call our own
where our story will be sown
upon the ground of love
and observed by the dove

You and me and we
share everything perfectly
What more could I ask?
Perhaps just to bask

In your presence,
absorbing your calming essence
Gazing into your eyes,
wiping away the lies

Digging deep,
to catch a peep
of your true self
Mysterious as an elf

Best friends, lovers, forever
A bond found hard to sever
But can you see?
There is no key

There are no instructions upon my back
I am more than just a sack
My heart is guarded
by a wall that started

A long, long time ago
When I'm feeling low
you are both relief and origin
Reparing the cracking in my procelin

Two halves of a whole,
starting to take its toll
Love so strong it's scary
Making it hard to be merry

I just don't know anymore
I'm beginning to feel so poor
Be the light
to guide my sight

Out of this place.
Maybe all I need is space
But my place is by you
only we could be seperated in three, two...

An entity of mine own,
not something you own
Buildling a life to share
we both must care

We need to work together
and talk of things whenever
No more hiding and schemeing
I can't take much more weeping

Please, I beg of you
take me to
a place we call our own
where much can be shown

For you, I will be an open book
and now to you, I look
Take my hand
share my land

Begin this journey with me
and together we shall see
The world before our eyes
Together breath a sigh
                  of contentment.
