Pinky

A tattered pink bunny

Matted fur and

A single deflated foot

A hole on the bottom

Made by a big yellow dog

Those shiny eyes have seen

Tears

Smiles

And awkward teenage years

16 years of being by my side

Opa’s longest lasting gift

Those long ears have heard

Cries

Laughter

And off-key singing

Opa has passed

But you have stayed

Your small smile

Comfort in every way

A small pink bunny

A therapist

A security blanket

A constant friend

Opa’s greatest gift
