Pieces of Me by Sandra Nicole

Pieces of me lay in fours

Three girls one boy

In case you haven't guessed it

I'm a mom

Single with battle scars

Pieces of me are in three

A sister two brothers

My oldest brother never made it past six

Sometimes I have mixed

Emotions

A piece of me wonders why he had to leave

Another can't imagine my life without my younger sister and brother

A piece of me is in twos

The now oldest child of two

loving parents who

have sacrificed so much for me to have enough pieces

to make up all the reasons

to be thankful.
