Picture of You

Location

I saw a picture of you in the mirror
I realize I've become what I fear
Ameliorate me, and then you walked away
Tie my mouth shut - there's nothing left to say

I cant erase it, because its with me every day
You know these feelings, they never go away
I try to hide it, but its clear as the light of day
Builds up inside me, eventually I'll break

Would you light up the city, and cut down the trees
Would you hide from the things that remind you of me
As the color fades from those lonesome painted walls
Until I can't see anything at all

I saw a picture of you in the dust
I know all that shines eventually turns to rust
Maybe in another life we'd walk hand in hand
I look on as you slip through my fingers like sand

I can't erase it, It's the shadows I can see
Lingering in darkness, taking their toll on me
I try to hide it, but it's as clear as the light of day
Builds up inside me, eventually I'll break

Would you live in the lies, that you've come to believe
Would you cut all the ties that once bound you to me
As the color fades from those lonesome painted walls

Untill I can't see anything at all

There's a place that I remember
There's someone I used to know
But this picture is now fading

 It's time to let go

Would you light up the city, and cut down the trees
Would you hide from the things that remind you of me
As the color fades from those lonesome painted walls

 Till I can't see
Anything
Would you live in the lies, that you've come to believe
Would you cut all the ties that once bound you to me
As the color fades from those lonesome painted walls
Till I can't see-
Anything at all
