Phobia

Tue, 03/19/2019 - 21:18 -- ZellaH

Phobias are quite common

In the human population

They cause us to use caution

Often they cause frustration

Some seem innate

While others form over time

This does equate

To a challenge we must climb

Facing fears is not easy

Yet it must be done

It affects us deeply

But soon we’ll no longer run

What I fear most

Is difficult to avoid

It is always close

Which I don’t enjoy

Failure is what I fear

But I’m working against it

It is unclear

But I admit

I have not fully overcome it

But I’m doing what I can

And I won’t quit

I won’t be less than

Small steps forward

Are still progress

Situations can be altered

It is all a process

Focusing on small successes

Help me fight the fear

I may not always have directions

Yet it becomes more clear

Failure is how we learn

And how we become better

Though for perfection we yearn

Light as a feather

Is how we soon feel

Once we realize what we learn

Sometimes we may kneel

Due to our concern

Envision where you were

Envision where you are

Focus on prayer

Success is not afar

Fear of failure

May be overwhelming

When focused on the saviour

On it you are no longer dwelling
