Perspective

What would I change?

I wouldn't change the way her eyes light up when she talks about something

For which she has a passion

I wouldn't change the way she throws her head back when she laughs

As if she is opening herself up to the sky

I wouldn't change the way she relaxes her hand on the steering wheel

And lets the music take hold of her

I wouldn't change the dimples by her eyes

That appear when she smiles

But I would change

The way she sees herself.

I would lend her my eyes

I would let her see

If only she could see herself like me.
