The Personification of Hope

I look at your big, bright eyes
That do not foresee what is to come
And yet I know that there is no fear
Paired with that uncertainty.

I only wish that I in the same way
Could not be so feverishly impatient,
Demanding to know how I will face
What is to come before it has
Even entered my everyday.

For a soul that has endured so much
I feel as though you can do nothing but
Effortlessly compact all you have taken in
And manifest it into something positive
Bold and radiant are all you know how to exist as.

You are all that I aspire to be.
You are the embodiment of dreams that are to come.
You are the light that I seek in the darkest hour.
