The Perfect Moment

He held me close and pulled me tight

And forgot all about the fading light

I closed my eyes with his arms around me

I lived years for this moment; for destiny

With my head on his shoulder, I sat and sighed

And emptied my head of the times I had cried

The perfect moment was now or never

In the freezing cold; nothing but together

I looked in his eyes and he stared into mine

Love struck me, now was the time

No other moment was ever so flawless

As the night remained forever dawn-less

The world froze as we kissed in silence

God was smiling at the work of his finest

At the moment, I felt so stupid and blind

For the right one for me was right in front of my eyes
