Peeling Skin

Peeling skin off of my face

I knew that this was a mistake I’m filled with desire

But lacking the fire

Filled to the brim with failure

Luck’s not in my favor.

Straightening my dress

I know I’m a total mess

I’m drowning here

Pulled by a puppeteer

I can’t escape

Is this my fate?

No I can’t lose

Can’t give in to the abuse

I’m stronger now

I made a vow

I made a promise

I know I’m not flawless.

Let me straighten my dress

I know I can be a mess

But I won’t drown here

I’m my own puppeteer

I won’t escape

Because I make my fate.

Peeling skin off of my face

I know that I’m not a mistake

Im filled with desire

And filled with fire

Emptied of the fear of failure

Luck is in my favor.
