Once I looked up for the peace,
Up to the hill down to the land,
At my place after fire's cease,
Besides the river till its end,
In the bright day and dark night,
Right to the brook in the wood.
Up and down, left and right,
I found nothing! but what I could?
My mind was quite despaired,
But when I acted upon God's word,
I found my lost peace there,
Because it was about love to mankind.
