Parts of Me

Trailer park memories,

family living together tighly,

apple and cherry trees;

they are all a part of me.

Alley ways and side streets,

scraped elbows and bruised knees,

tire swings and short sleeves;

they are all a part of me.

Long nights and long hugs,

loud fights and ears held on tight,

crooked frames and broken hearts;

they are all a part of me.

Homemade blankets and needle-stabbed thumbs,

laughing lungs and hands held on,

toothless smiles and long talks;

they are all a part of me.

Carshow and grease covered shoes,

chicken feed and ducks running loose,

long rides and many homes;

they are all a part of me.

Family fueds and tears stained pillows,

lengthy journal and random poems,

goal orientated and goals away from home;

they are all a part of me.
